Lunch time hike

Some of the guys at work are training to hike Mt. Whitney this summer. Lunchtime hikes at Mt. McCoy in Simi Valley provide some mid day exercise by climbing up the steep trails and going down the switchbacks route. Not sure why there is a gigantic concrete cross at the top? Next time I'll log the route with 'my tracks' and post the google earth image. Click pics for larger images.
