As others have pointed out my 'time' didn't make it in to those calculations. The labor costs were 'zero' so for non mechanics this story would not have gone well and it would have been cheaper to have been driving a less used car I think.

The camera has to be some distance away from the cylinder, maybe the rig is vibrating? It's a good point... at 1000fps or so.. that thing is really jumping around!
